The tower of London

viernes, 10 de enero de 2003

<<<<< Legende >>>>>

If you go to the tower of London
you will see
six ravens

These birds (their ancestors)
have been there
since the eleventh century

But today, they are there
for a very important reason

According to tradition
The British Empire
will remain only
as long as there are
ravens in the tower

About the reason
for this legende
there are
many suggestions

One is that
a gang of thieves
broke into the tower
while the sentries
were asleep

But the ravens
made so much noise
that the sentries
woke up
and were able
to kill the thieves

Whatever the reason
the birds are fed
every day
and receive
a State pension
